Taylor Alison Swift (born 13 December 1989) is an American singer/songwriter. Her discography spans diverse kinds of music. She relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, at 14 to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. Swift signed a songwriting and recording agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The self-titled debut album was her first album featuring country music. It was also the first U.S. platinum certified album. Swift's next album, Fearless (2008) was about country pop. Speak Now (2010) was her third album. The songs "Love Story" and "You Belong with me" from the former were the first to be top of the U.S. all-genre and pop charts. Red (2012) included Red's first Billboard Hot 100 single, "We We Never Ever Coming Back Together." She abandoned her country image with 1989 (2014) and supported by chart-topping tracks like "Shake ItOff", "Blank Space" or "Bad Blood". Reputation 2017, featuring the top-selling track "Look How You Did Me Do", was the result of the media's examination. After leaving Big Machine, Swift signed with Republic Records in 2018 and released her seventh studio album, Lover (2019), which was followed by her autobiographical documentary Miss Americana (2020). Swift's 2020 albums Folklore (2019) and Evermore (2020) were her first forays into alternative rock and indie music. "Cardigan" was an album that ranked in the top ten, and "Willow" was an album that ranked in the Top 100. After a dispute over her masters Swift began to re-record six of her albums. Her 2022 album Midnights was released and its single "Anti-Hero" was the first to break the records for streaming time. Swift has also produced music videos and films such as All Too Well, The Short Film (2021) and performed supporting roles. Swift is among the most popular musicians of all time, having sold over 200 million records around the world. Swift is the top streamed woman in Spotify. Swift is the only artist to have five albums that sold over one million copies in the US. 12 Grammy Awards including three Album of the Year nominations; an Emmy Award, 40 American Music Awards and 29 Billboard Music Awards. 92 Guinness World Records are just among her numerous accolades. Swift was included in the Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists and Forbes Celebrity 100.
