Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson was an American actress. Elson's professional career started out as a child actor, and model. But, she's best known for her role as Alice Tyler in CBS science fiction. Andrea won the role of Lynn Tanner, in ALF (1986) after she auditioned. Andrea was a regular on several popular TV shows, including Movies of the Day before making the decision to leave the industry to focus on her children. Andrea Elson's job as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teenage daughter, was not easy for her. People's 2000 retrospective on Elson revealed that it was hard for her to develop as a female on an audience of a sitcom. Born on March 6, 1969, in New York City, this green-eyed actress grew up traveling due to her father's work as an advertising executive. By the time she was 10-years-old Andrea was already a traveler in New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. Andrea was in San Diego when she met an agent. Her part she auditioned won. Fusco was in favor of the idea, and said that "ALF is at 285 years old and is able to drink beer because he's old enough. The popularity of ALF grew among children, NBC informed Fusco that it was not allowed to drink alcohol because the children were watching. This was not a good instance. Fusco was still convinced that ALF to be an adult and that he could manage the drinking. The diagnosis of his lymphoma first came in the year 1995. The treatment was successful and went into complete remission throughout 2019. On June 26, 2019 at the age of 75, he died of the illness at the Lillian Booth Actors Home located in Englewood in New Jersey.
